The salon; While clearly Upscale and sophisticated itself , must clearly be warm and welcoming -a reflection of the staff themselves. The mission is quite simply to set and maintain the standard for attainable beauty and unsurpassed customer service.

I opened the lux studio as a 2 chair suite out of a Sola suite in 2015. This was the first Sola Suite to open on the north shore. I was ready to take a small risk of owning my own business. I always had this vision of owning my own brand one day.. I was inspired by other pioneers in our industry but I knew I wanted a salon with more freedom and flexibility. I was perplexed for many years thinking of how I could pull this off .. a luxurious rental salon with all the perks of commission.. most I discussed my vision with said it wouldn’t work. The numbers didn’t make sense .. but then Sola came ., and I was ready to start on a small scale .. so after working commission for 13 years I decided to go for it! Opening in 2015 I grew so fast after 4 years I was ready to expand and share clients with other like minded entrepreneurs ! I was assured a larger scale would work! The numbers began to make sense and I had a clear plan on how to setup the business to be successful.
In July 2019 The Lux Studio was born!
My husband George and I purchased our 2nd piece of Commerical real estate along 114 in Middleton where Lux is located . We had always envisioned our businesses being along side one another. This was a perfect opportunity and location. Rizzos pizzeria and Grill was a fifth location and addition to George’s original Rizzos Roastbeef and pizza of the north shore . Middleton was born in December of 2018.. Lux shortly after in July of 2019! Our dream had come to fruition!! I decided to run the Lux as a luxury rental salon like I had always envisioned .. I had a home for 7 renters! After sharing my ideas of having independent mini businesses within one brand and environment with close friends and fellow co workers .. the girls I selected were ready to go! I saw what I needed to see as an individual suite owner and what was missing.. what a salon owner needed to flourish and stay alive in our industry.. we need others!!
All together I collected a crew of people who shared this vision … stylists who wanted more, a step up in a luxurious environment with out a big risk. I knew if I created it they would come. We as a team at the Lux wanted our own businesses but missed everything a branded commission style salon offered!! The Lux was filled with 7 entrepreneurs like myself who saw and appreciated this collaboration and vision! Together we are better.. together we wanted to and have grown and continue to grow!! We help each other collectively and creatively yet are all independently our own bosses running our own book of business. We are still learning and growing 4 years later and so proud of where we have all grown to!
